This handy sensor works great with our Robotic Board, Invention Board, and Bit Board (or pretty much any programable board on the market).
The Thumbstick features a full 360 degree of motion that outputs a signal via two bi-directional variable resistors. We enjoy using it to control servos and LEDs in a wide variety of projects. The Thumbstick also features a momentary pushbutton that can be activated by pushing down on the joystick.
Information is output via 5 male pin headers on the circuit board. To connect it to our Robotics or Bit Board just use a standard female to female ribbon cable. When programming use standard potentiometer and button commands. For example code and projects please look around our Project Database.
