An easy kit to keep your USB gadgets solar charged.
This kit has everything you'll need to make your very own USB Solar Charger. In fact we use the exact same parts to make our Altoids USB Solar Chargers.
Like most solar charges this kit uses solar power charge up internal batteries which in turn can be used to charge up your USB gadget. Just put the charger out in the sun and start the fun. Plus the kit is designed to fit into a Altoids tin for extra cuteness.
By default we ship with a 4V at 60mA solar cell because it fits nicely into an Altoids tin. If you'd like a more powerful cell you can choose from several in the options below, but they won't fit into an Altoids tin.

*** The USB charger in this kit does NOT work with iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, or new iPod Touches. If you want to charge those you'll need to use our iPhone/iPod Charging Kit. The circuit does charge most USB devices. We've tested this on a number of Black Berry Phones, GPS Systems, and Kindles. Though this charges most systems it will not charge every system. We can't test them all.
