Atari Punk Circuit Kit

Atari Punk Circuit Kit Loading

The aptly names "Atari Punk" circuit is very similar to the Photo Theremin circuit, only on steroids.  Control a wide range of sounds using both variable resistors or light sensitive resistors.  Both breadboard and Altoids tin friendly.

The "Atari Punk" circuit got it's name by the Atari like sounds that it produces. Using a single 556 timer circuit you're able to crate a much wider range of sounds compared to the more simple Photo Theremin circuit. The entire project can be made on a breadboard in 10 to 20 minutes and makes for an awesome science or weekend project.

If you're board with doing things on your breadboard you can easily freeform this circuit into a different enclosure, like an Altoids tin. We include extra parts just in case you want to go that route.

Included:

(1) 556 Timer Chip
(1) 9V Connector Plug
(1) Mini Speaker
(1) Two Pin Speaker Hookup
(2) Toggle Switchs
(1) Blue LED
(1) LED Holder
(2) CDS Light Sensitive Cells
(2) 500K Variable Resistors
